Progesterone vs. Progestins

The main source of Natural Progesterone is soy. This form of Progesterone matches the biological and molecular structure of human Progesterone exactly. Progestins are synthetically produced hormones, which differ in structure from Natural Progesterone and, therefore, cannot perform the natural functions Progesterone can. In addition, they cause known side effects such as fluid retention, migraines and depression, breast and uterine cancer, pulmonary embolisms, etc.

What is Progesterone Deficiency?

During menopause Progesterone levels fall almost to zero although the levels of estrogen only decrease 40-60% .This imbalance of progesterone and estrogen has been called "estrogen dominance" by John R.
